Assam Class 10 and 12 Board Exams Postponed: The Assam class 10th and 12th board examinations have been postponed until further orders in view of the rapidly increasing number of cases of Kovid-19. The board exams for class 10th (HSLC) and class 12th (HS) were scheduled to begin on May 11. But now these examinations have been postponed.
The notification issued by Suranjana Senapati, Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) stated, “In view of the current status of Kovid-19 in the state of Assam, the decision to postpone HSLC / AHM Exam 2021 starting from 11 May 2021″ has been taken.”
The statement further said, the revised dates of these examinations will be announced soon after consulting the state health department.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has also ordered the postponement of the Class 12 board examination. AHSEC ‘issued the statement saying, “Due to the Kovid-19 status, the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2021 from May 11, 2021 has been postponed until further orders.”
Practical examinations of class 10th have been held on 4 and 5 March at many examination centers across the state.
The Assam Higher Education Council (AHSEC) had earlier announced the postponement of HS First Year Examination, which was to begin on 4 May.
