If the risk of heart diseases and stroke is to be reduced by 14 percent, then drink a glass of milk daily. Cholesterol levels remain low in those who drink one glass of milk daily. Therefore, the risk of heart diseases is less. When the level of cholesterol in the body increases, blockages are formed in the arteries. As a result, there is an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. This claim has been made by researchers from the University of Reading, England, in their research.

Research done on 2 million people
According to the researchers, research was done on 2 million people in the UK and the US who drink milk every day. Research revealed that cases of heart diseases were less in such people.

Researcher of Reading University Prof. Vimal Karani says, during research we found that there was a change in the genes of milk drinkers. Their BMI (body mass index) was high but the level of bad cholesterol was low. Dairy products have proved to be beneficial for health.

This happened due to a change in the lactase gene
Pro. According to Vimal, people whose genes were changed had a lower risk of heart diseases. Research reports say, the change in the lectase gene was caused by drinking milk. This gene works to digest the sugar that reaches the body through milk. This altered gene is beneficial to humans.

Does drinking milk increase the risk of diabetes?
There is a perception among people that drinking milk increases the risk of diabetes, but researchers in new research claim that there is no evidence of diabetes by drinking more or less milk. Milk is very important for bones and also fulfills the deficiency of vitamins and proteins.
