Mumbai:

The Mumbai DRI (Directorate Revenue Intelligence) unit has recovered 1007 grams of heroin from an international parcel based on intelligence. The value of the recovered drugs is said to be Rs 3 crore. The special thing is that these drugs were concealed along with fake hair used for makeup. The parcel recovered by DRI came to Tanzania. Now the DRI is investigating this matter.

He said that the DRI officers recovered brown envelopes hidden in the consignment, in which 1,007 grams of brown substance was found in them. It was later revealed that he was heroin.

The official said that this banned substance worth three crore rupees was seized under the relevant provisions of the National Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. He said that during the last three weeks, DRI Mumbai has registered a fifth Bar drugs (cocaine and heroin) are seized.
