Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has expressed concern over the worsening situation of Corona in Chhattisgarh

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said that UK variants of the virus have been found in 80% of the Kovid-19 cases found in Punjab. He said that the reason for the latest upsurge in the cases of corona infection could be marriage, election of local bodies and farmers’ movement. Dr Harsh Vardhan said during a review meeting with health ministers of 11 states regarding the condition of Kovid-19, ‘UK variants have been found in about 80% of cases in Punjab, confirmed by genome sequencing. It has also come to the notice that weddings with large ceremonies, local civic elections and farmers ‘demonstrations can play an important role in increasing the Corona case.’

Significantly, farmers have been holding demonstrations in Punjab since last year against agricultural laws brought by the central government. In the review meeting, the Health Minister also expressed concern over the situation in Chhattisgarh regarding the corona cases and termed it as the most affected state. There has been a manifold increase in the corona cases in Chhattisgarh. Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, ‘Chhattisgarh is the most affected state. There has been a lot of increase in cases in Raipur and Durg.

Regarding the situation of Corona in Delhi, the capital of the country, he said, ‘We have seen a period of time in many cases for a long time, but now the trend of increase in cases has come. Earlier, less than 100 cases were seen in a day, now this number has increased to 5000. ‘Dr. Harsh Vardhan told that the Central Government has sent 50 teams to Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Punjab, these will cover 30 districts of Maharashtra, 11 districts of Chhattisgarh and 9 districts of Punjab. It will stay in these districts for three to five days.
