- ‘Digilocker’ Facility Also Available On Paytm’s App, Documents Can Be Accessed Even At Places With Weak Connectivity

If you use e-wallet Paytm, then this news is for you. Now you can keep the documents present in Digilocker in offline mode on ‘Paytm Mini Apps’. DigiLocker can also be accessed through the app in places where connectivity is weak.
Aadhar, DL, RC of the vehicle can be kept in Digilocker
DigiLocker is a cloud-based platform launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Here you can store your Aadhaar, Driving License, Vehicle Registration Certificate, Insurance, Kovid-19 Vaccine Certificate etc. in digital format.
DigiLocker documents are not stored: Paytm
According to the Information Technology Act, 2000, the documents stored in DigiLocker are legally treated at par with the original documents. Paytm says that it does not store any documents present in DigiLocker nor does it send any information related to it to the backend.
Digilocker data can be accessed in offline mode as well
DigiLocker’s data will be present on the users’ mobile only, so they can be accessed in offline mode as well. To use this feature, you have to tap on the photo/name icon at the top left of the app.
A total of 24 categories of documents will be visible including banking and insurance, health
After that you will see many facilities being provided by Paytm, including DigiLocker. Tapping on DigiLocker will open a mini app, where you will see a total of 24 categories of documents including education, banking and insurance, health, apart from central and state government like that.
On login, Paytm will ask for some approvals, other functions like Digilocker
On first login Paytm will ask you for some approvals and rest of the functions will be like Digilocker. A Paytm spokesperson said, “Those who have booked for vaccination through Paytm, or have FASTag, or have taken insurance from any company, will be able to view the documents stored in DigiLocker on Paytm.”
Documents can be added, saved / stored in DigiLocker through Mini App
According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, DigiLocker aims to provide a digital platform for paperless services to all citizens. Under the tie-up with Paytm, its users will be able to add, save/store and retrieve their documents in DigiLocker through the mini app.
