According to his tweet, this was a marketing strategy used by the company.

Oppo India shared the “exclusive” video footage on Twitter, which can be viewed after users retweet their tweet. In the video, Ranbir Kapoor can be seen gifting a new white smartphone to the boy. Young boy is seen smiling and posing for photo. Later, the actor also clicked a selfie with the young boy. The entire video was a promotional campaign that was used to promote the newly launched smartphone by the company – Oppo Reno 8 T5G.
