Shreyas Iyer scored 26 runs in India’s second innings in the Indore Test. He played two Tests against the Kangaroos and scored 42 runs in four innings.
Shreyas Iyer, who was ruled out of the ODI series after the last Test of the India-Australia series due to lower back pain, is also in doubt over playing the IPL. Some media reports have claimed that he will not be able to play more than half the matches of the current IPL series.
28-year-old Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer has recovered from injury only last month. He returned to the team from the Delhi Test against the Kangaroo team and has also been a part of Team India in the Indore Test. Iyer had pain in his lower back during the last match. He was then sent to Skåne. Now the scan report has come, although the BCCI and Iyer’s franchise have not given any update on it.
He was injured for the first time during the ODI series against Sri Lanka in the month of January.

Iyer is under the supervision of the board’s medical team
Iyer is currently under the supervision of the board’s medical team. The injury forced him to miss the 3-match ODI series against New Zealand and the first Test against Australia. He completed his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy.
In a medical update, the BCCI had said, Shreyas Iyer complained of pain in his lower back after the third day’s play. He has gone for scan.
India will play 3 ODIs against Australia
Team India has to play 3 ODIs against Australia on 17, 19 and 22 March. The first ODI against Australia will be played in Mumbai, second in Visakhapatnam and third in Chennai.
IPL-2023 will start from 31 March The current season of IPL is starting from 31 March. The first match will be played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Iyer is the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders. In such a situation, the franchise will have to look for a new captain. The team’s first match will be in Mohali with Punjab Kings on April 1.
