West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar is visiting the violence-hit areas of the state.

Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar was shown black flags on Thursday. Dhankar had visited Cooch Behar to visit the affected people in the post-election violence. His convoy in Sitalakuchi area showed black flags, while the slogans of Dinhata go back. During the election in Sitalkuchi, 4 people were killed in the firing of the central security forces.

Dhankar said after his visit that he was surprised at the violence in Bengal after the elections. The country is facing a Kovid epidemic and in such a situation, violence is taking place in Bengal after the elections. That too just because some people had decided to vote on their own will.

Dhankar said – Police did not take action against those who raised slogans
Dhankhar, upset with the protest, came out of his car in Dinhata. He reprimanded the police officers. He said that the police are not taking any action against the slogans. He said that a crowd of 15 people had gathered and shouted slogans that the BJP Governor should go back. The law is completely over. I am stunned. I did not even think that such a thing could happen.

He also discussed a visit to the village affected by the post-election violence. He said – fear was clearly visible in the eyes of the people. They were afraid to go to the police for a complaint. The houses were looted. The ornaments kept for girls’ wedding and even the utensils for Shraddha were looted.

CM Mamta said – Dhankar visit violated rules
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had written a letter on Wednesday, saying that visiting Dhankhar violates established rules. He said that the decision of this visit is arbitrary and no consultation has been done with the state government regarding this. He said that Dhankhar is bypassing the ministers of the state and giving direct instructions to the officials. This is a violation of the constitution.
