Student activist Gulfisha Fatima, arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in Delhi Violence, alleged in a Delhi court on Monday that jail officials made communal remarks against her And giving him mental torture.
MBA graduate Fatima is lodged in Tihar Jail in a case related to communal violence in north-east Delhi in February.
The student made this charge when she was presented before Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat through video conference in the case. Fatima alleged that she is being discriminated against by the personnel in the jail.
The student said, 'I am having a problem in jail. Ever since I am brought here, I am constantly facing discrimination by the jail staff. They call me an educated terrorist and make communal remarks on me. I am facing mental torture here. If I do any harm to myself, only the jail officials will be responsible for it.

When Fatima gave her plea in the court directly, the judge asked her lawyer to file an application in this regard. On this, the student's lawyer Mahmood Pracha said that he will do the necessary work in this case. The court on Monday directed the lawyers of the accused to be given a copy of the charge sheet and fixed October 3 for next hearing on the case. The charge sheet has been filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act.
