Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Monday that the Delhi government is setting up registration camps for construction workers and laborers for the next 1 month from today. They say that due to this registration campaign of the government, registered laborers will be able to get many facilities.
Sisodia told a digital press conference today that there are estimated to be about 1 million construction workers in Delhi. There are all kinds of people in it. Whether a construction worker or security guard, or people carrying luggage, electricians, plumber etc. But there are only 2,12,000 in the government registration network. The rest of the people are outside the registration network, so now the government is running a massive registration campaign. He told that for this, awareness campaigns will be organized in 300 places in Delhi and registration camps will be set up in some places.
He told that there are such big places at 262 places, where workers gather in the morning. Awareness campaign will be conducted in all these places so that people will know what benefits they can get from the government if they get registered. Registration camps will be organized in 45 places for the next 1 month from today, any construction workers can get their registration done.
He informed that registration camps will be held everyday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Four to five camps will be set up on one site so that a large number can be registered.

What will be the benefit?
Sisodia said, ‘By getting this registration, you get many benefits from the government, like women workers get maternity benefits. That is, ₹ 30,000 is given for having a child, and if there is a miscarriage due to some reason, then help of ₹ 3000 is given to get treatment. ‘
After the registered worker turns 60, he is given a pension of ₹ 3000 every month. If a registered construction worker wants to build or buy his house, then he is given help ranging from Rs.3,00,000 to ₹ 5,00,000 to build or buy his house. If the construction worker becomes disabled due to any reason, he is given a disability pension of ₹ 3000 a month. If someone becomes fully disabled, then ₹ 1,00,000 is also given as help.
If a construction worker dies, his family immediately receives ₹ 10,000 for the funeral and ₹ 2,00,000 for the death due to the accident and ₹ 1,00,000 if there is a natural death. If the child of a construction worker studies in school, he is given ₹ 6000 annually for the first to eighth class, 9-10 class – ₹ 8 thousand, 11-12 class – ₹ 10 thousand annually. In the same way, as the education gets bigger, the amount of help also becomes bigger.
If the construction worker’s child gets married or is married himself, for women of ₹ 51000, 35,000 help is given for men. Pass is also given free for traveling in DTC, which would be Rs 2400.
Delhi government will run this registration campaign for the next one month from today.
