Delhi: Gang busted for extortion from businessmen

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted a gang which used to extort money from big businessmen. These people had recently tried to recover extortion of two crores from a businessman. But in the meantime, the crime branch had laid a trap and arrested two gang members.

According to Crime Branch Additional Commissioner Shibesh Singh “On March 1, a businessman complained that he was called by a man at 9 am on January 23 and called himself Satti gangster in Tihar Jail, threatening that Two crore rupees should be delivered to him within two days. Otherwise, he may have to lose his life.

After this, a similar call came on the same day at 5 in the evening. After registering a case, the police arrested a person named Satish Kumar from Uttam Nagar, his mobile call records showed that Deepak was making a call for extortion. The police also arrested Deepak Sehrawat from his house.

Investigation revealed that both of them used to work in the chemist shop earlier. But in the greed to earn quick money, both of them took two mobiles and two SIMs, SIM cards were taken from Allahabad. After that Deepak Sehrawat, standing near Tihar jail, calling himself a gangster Satti, called the businessman and asked for Rs 2 crore extortion, the police have recovered four mobile phones and SIMs from him.
