Delhi Coronavirus Updates: Amidst the rising coronavirus cases in the country, the number of people infected with this dangerous virus in Delhi has crossed 87 thousand. With 2199 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, the number of infected people has increased to 87,360. At the same time, 2113 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours and so far, a total of 58,348 patients have been cured. In the last 24 hours, 62 patients died here due to this virus. In Delhi, this deadly virus has killed a total of 2742 patients. There were 17,179 tests in the last 24 hours and so far, a total of 5,31,752 tests have been done.
There are now 26,270 active cases of corona virus in Delhi. There are 16,240 patients in home isolation. The recovery rate is now 66.79 percent. The 24-hour positive rate ended on Tuesday was 12.80. The average positivity rate so far is 16.42 percent.
Orders have been ordered to increase the rapid antigen testing of Corona in Delhi. On the instructions of the Union Home Ministry, the Delhi government has ordered all its DMs in this regard. Every DM has been given the target of 2,000 antigen tests in his district daily. Right now, an average of 1,000 antigen tests are being conducted in every district in Delhi. There are 11 districts in Delhi.
Instructions have also been given to increase the antigen test center from 193 to 250. Instructions have been given to open new test centers near Containment Zone. Apart from this, the Health Department of Delhi Government has given instructions to increase the scope of antigen test according to the guidelines of ICMR.
Till now rapid antigen tests were being conducted only in the containment zone. According to the ICMR guidelines, rapid antigen testing will now be conducted in all these locations – in all containment zones, in central and state government hospitals and medical colleges, in private hospitals accredited by NABH and in private corona testing labs authorized by ICMR.
