Amid growing Corona transition in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced financial assistance along with free ration for the people of Delhi. Kejriwal said on Tuesday that the Delhi government will give 72 months ration card holders for two months free. Apart from this, financial assistance of 5 thousand rupees will be given separately to the auto-rickshaw pullers. This will help the poor in this difficult time of lockdown. Kejriwal said that giving two months of ration does not mean that the lockdown will also last for two months. He further said that a lockdown was necessary to prevent corona infection in Delhi. Our government knows that it can have a bad effect on people. The daily hard-working earners are getting very upset with this. So we have decided to help them.
Relief was given to laborers a week ago
Earlier, the Delhi government had last week promised to give Rs 5000 to the laborers working on the construction site. The government had said that the government of registered laborers in Delhi will help. Under this scheme, 2 lakh 10 thousand 648 laborers will get benefits. During this time the Delhi government also allotted 52 crore 88 lakh rupees.
448 people died in last 24 hours
In the country’s capital Delhi, 18,043 people were found corona positive on Monday. 20,293 people recovered and 448 died. So far, 11 lakh 94 thousand people have been infected. Of these, 10 lakh 85 thousand have been cured, while 17,414 patients have died. 89,592 is undergoing treatment.
