The Delhi Women’s Commission (DCW) rescued an 8-year-old boy who was being tortured by his stepmother. In a statement released on Friday, it was said that the team of the Delhi Women’s Commission had received information that the stepmother was persecuting the child in a house in Hari Nagar, West Delhi. After this, the team of the Commission along with the PCR team of Delhi Police entered that house.
The team rescued that child and brought it to the police station. She also brought her stepmother with her to the police station.
According to the statement, the eight-year-old child said that the stepmother used to beat her daily and she was tied with a rope whenever she went out. The child said that he was not allowed to go out or meet anyone. He was forced to sleep on the floor and was not even given enough food.
Injuries and wounds have also been found on the boy’s body. There were severe scratch marks on his back. The statement said that he has been taken for medical examination.
