The decision of the Delhi High Court in this regard has been challenged in the Supreme Court. The petition said that the Supreme Court should order the Delhi government and the North Delhi Municipal Corporation to re-establish the Hanuman temple in its place. It has also been demanded that until the Delhi government and the North Delhi Municipal Corporation re-install the Hanuman temple in its place, then Chandni Chowk Beautification Should not be done

This petition has been filed by Jitendra Singh Vishen through advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain. The petitioner says that the Delhi High Court gave a decision in this case without hearing the temple management or the favor of the devotees or the general public, after which the temple was removed on January 3, 2021.
