In the thrilling match of FIFA World Cup 2022, Ghana defeated South Korea 3-2. In the Group H match played at the Education City Stadium, Ar Ryan, Ghana’s Mohamed Qudus scored 2 goals and Mohamed Salisu scored 1 goal. Cho Gyu-sung scored both the goals for South Korea in the space of 3 minutes. But, his goals were not enough for the team’s victory.
With this win, Ghana’s team has reached the second position in Group-H with 3 points. Portugal, who defeated Ghana in the first match, is in the first place. Uruguay and South Korea are third and fourth in the group with one point each.
Ghana’s two goals in the first half
By half-time, Ghana had taken a 2–0 lead over South Korea. Mohammad Salisu scored the first goal in the 24th minute and gave his team a 1-0 lead. Taking advantage of the free kick, Salisu came inside the box and scored the goal.

Mohamed kudus scored the second goal
Ghana took a 2-0 lead over South Korea in the 34th minute. Mohammad Qudus scored the second goal of the match. Jordan Ayew of Ghana gave an excellent cross from the left corner, which he converted with a header.

South Korea’s first goal came in the second half
Korea’s first and third goal of the match was scored by the team’s forward player Cho Gyuseong. In the 58th minute, he was given a cross by fellow player Lee from the left wing, which was converted by Gyusung with a header.
Gyusung completes brace
Just three minutes after the first goal, Gyusung completed his brace by scoring the second goal in the 61st minute. He scored this goal in the same style as the previous one. Gyusung bounced the ball from the left wing and sent it into the net with a header. After this goal, the score line became equal to 2-2.

Mohammad Qudus scored the winning goal
Mohammad Qudus scored the winning goal of the match in the 68th minute. Ghana’s Inaki Williams tried to take a shot, but it was mistimed and the ball landed near Qudus. He did not miss the opportunity and scored a goal by hitting the bottom left corner.

South Korea’s attack did not work
Ghana managed to win the match by a margin of one goal. But, South Korea’s team dominated Ghana throughout the match. He took 22 shots, 7 of which were on target and converted 2 goals. At the same time, Ghana hit 7 shots in the match, out of which 3 were on target and the team got goals on all three. Korea retained ball possession 63% of the time in the match, also earning 12 corners. Ghana were able to keep ball possession 37% of the time, they got 5 corners. Both teams were shown 2-2 yellow cards. During this, Korea committed 13 and Ghana committed 9 fouls.
Red card to Korean manager
Korea’s manager Paulo Bento could not control his emotions after the match was over. He came to the ground and started arguing with the referee. Due to this he was shown the red card. He will no longer be seen in the field with the team in South Korea’s next group match.
