- Data Of Out of school Children Will Be Compiled Through Online Module, Children Of Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Will Get Financial Assistance

The Department of School Education and Literacy has developed an online module for compiling the data of out-of-school children. Under this online module, data of children in the age group of 6-14 years and children belonging to socially and economically disadvantaged groups of each state and union territory will be compiled.
At the same time, financial assistance will be provided for the first time in academic 2021-22 to school children in the age group of 16-18 years to continue their education through open/distance learning mode.

Children who do not go to school will be brought back
Through this online module, it will be ensured to bring back the out-of-school children to the schools. In this regard, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ informed that, “Taking care of every student of India is the top priority of our government. For this the Department of School Education and Literacy has decided to set up a school from the school identified by each State/Union Territory. An online module has been developed to compile the data of outstation children. It has been mapped with special training centers on the PRABANDH portal.”
For the first time, children from disadvantaged groups will get financial assistance
An official statement issued this time said that it would be necessary to upload the information of out-of-school children and Special Training Centers (STCs) at the block level under the supervision of the Block Resource Coordinator of the concerned Block Resource Center (BRC). The statement also said that, “For school children in the age group of 16-18 years and children from socially and economically disadvantaged groups, financial assistance will be made available for the first time from the year 2021-22, enabling them to open/ open education.
