The BJP on Thursday made major changes within the party. BJP president has been changed in 4 states. BJP President JP Nadda has handed over the command of Rajasthan to CP Joshi. Manmohan Samal has been made president in Odisha, Virendra Sachdev in Delhi and Samrat Chaudhary in Bihar.
Assembly elections are to be held in Rajasthan this year i.e. in 2023. Assembly elections will be held in 2025 in Delhi and Bihar and in 2024 in Odisha.
Delhi got permanent president after two and a half months
BJP has announced the president of Delhi Pradesh after waiting for more than two and a half months. The party has made working president Virendra Sachdeva the permanent president. After the defeat in the municipal elections, Adesh Gupta resigned from the post of president taking responsibility for the defeat. After this, Virendra Sachdeva was appointed as the working president of Delhi BJP by the party high command.
Virendra Sachdeva has been active in politics since 1988. In the year 2007, he was made the District President of Chandni Chowk. After this, in the year 2014, he was elected the President of Mayur Vihar District. He was a minister in the state in the year 2009 and was made the state vice president in 2017. On 11 December 2022, he was appointed the working president of Delhi BJP.
In Bihar, Samrat Chowdhary came into controversy after becoming the youngest minister in the Lalu cabinet.
Samrat Chaudhary will be the new state president of Bihar BJP. JP Nadda has entrusted this responsibility to him. The party has given information about this by issuing a letter. Samrat Chaudhary comes from the Kushwaha community and has been a minister three times in the Bihar government.
He and his father former minister Shakuni Chaudhary are considered to have a lot of political influence in Bihar. CP Joshi became president in Rajasthan, long experience of BJYM
In Rajasthan, eight months before the assembly elections, the BJP made a major change in the Rajasthan organization and replaced Satish Poonia, MP from Chittorgarh, CP Joshi as the new state president of the BJP. Chandra Prakash Joshi has reached the Lok Sabha twice from Chittorgarh. He won the election from this seat first in 2014 and again in 2019. Joshi is the state president of BJP’s youth wing, BJYM. Manmohan Samal replaces Sameer Mohanty in Odisha, expert in building organization
Manmohan Samal has been a former minister of Odisha in Odisha. He has been made the state party president in place of Sameer Mohanty. Mohanty’s three-year term as party president was completed on January 16 this year. Due to non-election of the new president, he was still handling the work of the party president.
Samal has been selected for the post of President because of his organizational strength and experience. Apart from being a former minister, he has also been the unit president in the state when there was a coalition government of BJP and Biju Janata Dal. It is being said that the Leader of Opposition in Odisha, Jayanarayan Mishra, is from western Odisha, so the BJP has elected its president from the coastal region.
