Covid-19 Pandemic: In view of the corona infection, the Uttarakhand Government has demanded a ban on train operations for 4 days. The Government of Uttarakhand has written a letter to the Railway Ministry requesting that the train should not be operated for Uttarakhand from 11 to 14 April. Due to the worsening conditions due to Corona and the crowded crowd in Kumbh, this request has been made not to run the train. Significantly, it is Amavasya on 12th and Vaishaki on 14th. It is feared that the crowd will increase in such a situation and the condition will be uncontrollable. Everyday, 29 trains go to Uttarakhand daily, out of which 21 trains are from Northern.

Significantly, the Kumbh Mela has started since April 1. This time due to Corona virus, the duration of Kumbh Mela has been reduced for the first time. This year, Kumbh Mela will run only from 1 to 30 April. Due to Corona epidemic, considerable precautions are also being taken to enter the Kumbh Mela. Uttarakhand High Court has made it mandatory for devotees coming to Haridwar Kumbh to report Kovid-19, confirming their not being infected or bringing vaccination report. State Chief Secretary Om Prakash had said in this regard that the Uttarakhand High Court has given clear orders that it would be necessary to bring negative test report or vaccination report of RT-PCR of Kovid-19 72 hours before coming to Haridwar Kumbh.
