In view of the recent increase in the cases of Covid-19 in Maharashtra by the Government of Karnataka, the Government of Karnataka has introduced RT-PCR for people coming to the state by plane, bus, train or private vehicle. It is mandatory to bring 19 Covid-19 Negative (Infection not confirmed) certificate and this certificate should not be older than 72 hours.

In the circular issued by Javed Akhtar, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, it was informed that the airline personnel will confirm this report while passengers are boarding the vehicle. The circular said that it would be mandatory for people coming from Maharashtra and staying at other places including hotels, resorts to submit a negative report certificate in RT-PCR investigation and this certificate should not be older than 72 hours.
