The government insisted on public participation to control the second wave of infection. NITI Aayog member (health) Dr VK Paul said in a press conference that the rapid increase in cases has worsened the epidemic situation in the country and a large part of the population is vulnerable to infection.
He said that the weapons to fight the epidemic are there. Following the rules of protection from Kovid-19, identification of areas to be checked, investigation etc. should be implemented more effectively, improvement of medical infrastructure and vaccination operations need to be carried out at a rapid pace. Paul said, “The intensity of the epidemic has increased and it is spreading more rapidly than last time. In some states this (situation) is worse than others but the increase (in cases) can be seen across the country. ”

He said, “Public participation is important to control the second wave. The next four weeks are going to be very important. The whole country will have to unite and make efforts to fight the epidemic. ”While discussing the condition of the epidemic in the country in detail, the Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that the Durg district of Chhattisgarh is among the top ten districts in the sub-disciplinary cases. He said that the ten districts where the maximum number of cases are being reported are Pune, Mumbai, Thane, Nagpur, Nashik, Bengaluru city, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Delhi and Durg.

Bhushan said that the Center has formed 50 high-level public health teams and has been deployed in districts with more cases and more deaths due to infection in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Punjab.
