England were all out for 281 in the first innings of the second Test against Pakistan in Multan. Leg spin bowler Abrar Ahmed, playing the first Test match, took 7 wickets and Zahid Mahmood took 3 wickets. Ben Duckett scored 63 and Ollie Pope scored 60 for England. Rest of the batsmen could not do much
Leading 1-0 in the 3-Test series, England won the toss and elected to bat first. Barring Duckett and Pope, none of the batsmen could score a half-century. Pakistan has started its second innings.

Batting with a run rate of 5.43
The English team, which was batting at a run rate of more than 6.5 in the first Test, started scoring fast even today. After scoring 181 runs in 5 wickets in 31 overs of the first session, the team lost all wickets for 281 runs in 51.4 overs. He batted at a run rate of 5.43.
Apart from Pope and Duckett, Mark Wood scored 36, Will Jacks 31, Captain Ben Stokes 30 and Jack Crawley scored 19 runs. Joe Root 8, Harry Brook 9, Oli Robinson 5, Jack Leach zero and James Anderson could only score 7 runs.
Only 2 English batsmen could score Fifty in the first innings.
7 wickets for debutant Abrar
Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed made his debut for Pakistan today after missing the first Test of the series. He gave success to the team in his very first over. He broke the 38-run opening partnership by bowling Jack Crowley in the 9th over of the innings. He then also took the wickets of Duckett, Pope, Root, Brook, Stokes and Jacques.
He could have made a new record of taking all 10 wickets in the first innings of the debut test itself. He took the first 7 wickets in the innings. But, Zahid Mahmood of his team took the remaining 3 wickets. So far only 3 bowlers have been able to take 10 wickets in an innings in Tests. These include Jim Laker of England, Anil Kumble of India and Ejaz Patel of New Zealand. Patel had done this feat against India only last year.

Most wickets in debut test
Abrar also missed out on taking the most wickets in the first innings of the debut test. He took 7 wickets. India’s Narendra Hirwani holds the record for best bowling in the first innings of a debut test. He took 8 wickets for 61 runs against the West Indies in 1988.
Australia’s Albert Trott holds the record for best bowling in any innings of a debut test. He took 8 wickets for 43 runs in the second innings of the debut test against England in 1895.
