Coronavirus update: After 357 new patients of Kovid-19 appeared in Delhi on Wednesday, the epidemic cases crossed 6.31 lakh while the infection rate came down to 0.50 percent. This is the tenth time in January when the daily cases are less than 500. Officials said that cases of this infection have now crossed 6.31 lakhs while 11 more patients died due to the disease taking the death toll to 10,718. A total of 585 cases were registered in Delhi on 1 January, while 494 new ones on 2 January, 424 on 3 January, 384 on 4 January, 442 on 5 January, 654 on 6 January, 486 on 7 January, 444 on 8 January, 9 519 on January, 399 on 10 January, 306 on 11 January and 386 new cases were reported on 12 January.
The number of under-treated patients in Delhi stood at 2991 on Wednesday, while the infection rate came down to 0.50 percent. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain had said that the infection rate is below one percent in the last seven days, which is a sign of improvement in the condition of this epidemic here. According to the latest bulletin released by the Delhi Health Department, 357 new cases came out after 70,745 investigations conducted on the previous day including 37,812 RT-PCR investigations and 32,933 rapid antigen tests. The bulletin said that the total number of corona virus cases in the national capital has increased to 6,31,249.
