The University of Delhi (DU) has postponed the online classes till May 16 in view of the increase in corona virus cases. Student organizations and teachers had demanded the postponement of online classes. The university said in a notification issued on Tuesday, “Due to the sudden sharp increase in the cases of Kovid-19, online classes will be postponed till May 16 in the departments and colleges of the university.”
Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) wrote a letter to the university’s acting vice-chancellor Professor PC Joshi on this issue.
Duta had said, “Students and their family members are struggling with the epidemic due to which the attendance in classrooms has decreased. Therefore, there is a demand for DUTA to postpone classes, because students and teachers are not mentally and physically ready to continue the process of reading and learning. ”
