Coronavirus Vaccine: The vaccine consignment is being delivered to different locations in the country on the first Tuesday of Corona’s vaccination program starting in the country on 16 January. Three trucks carrying the vaccine ‘Covishield’ of Serum Institute of India left for Pune airport in the wee hours of Tuesday, from where the first batch of the vaccine was left for Delhi, which reached Delhi around 10 am. At the same time, another consignment has also reached Chennai.
Pune’s DCP (Zone 5) Namrata Patil told news agency ANI that the police had made elaborate security arrangements for shipping the serum institute vaccine. Sandeep Bhosle, MD of SB Logistics, which is looking at air transportation of the vaccine from Pune airport, said that on Tuesday, a total of 8 flights from Pune airport are going to 13 different places of the country with the vaccine.

Let us know that the flight of SpiceJet was left for Delhi at eight o’clock in Pune. Earlier, in three temperature controlled trucks, these vaccines were dispatched from ‘Serum Institute of India’ (SII) to Pune airport shortly before 5 am. From Pune airport, these vaccines will be transported to other parts of India by air.
A source associated with the work of carrying vaccines told ‘Bhasha’ that a pooja was also performed before the vaccines were sent from SII. The source said that there were 478 coaches in the trucks and the weight of each compartment is 32 kg. The truck left the Manjari center of ‘Serum Institute of India’ and reached the airport located 15 km from there.
Vaccines will be sent to seven other aircraft from 10 am. Places where these vaccines will be taken from Pune include Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Karnal, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guwahati, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Bhubaneswar. The source said that these include two cargo planes. One cargo plane will go to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Bhubaneswar and the other cargo plane will go to Kolkata and Guwahati. Vaccines will be released by road for Mumbai. A consignment will be sent to Ahmedabad by an Air India cargo plane.
Trucks of ‘Cool-X Cold Chain Ltd.’ have been used to transport the vaccines from the Serum Institute.
