Congress workers showed black flags to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday in Puri. Congress workers were reportedly opposing the sale of Bagla Dharamshala land to businessmen. Police said that six activists were detained during the protest.
Patnaik had a birthday on Friday and on this occasion he saluted Lord Jagannath from outside the temple due to Kovid-19. The Chief Minister who visited Puri reviewed a project worth Rs 3,208 crore under which the city is planned to be made a World Heritage.

This land was donated by a faithful Kanhaiya Lal so that poor pilgrims can be provided accommodation at a low cost. ”
