Several days after the Assam State Board of Secondary Education’s Class 10 question paper of General Science subject was leaked, the case of Assamese language subject exam question paper has also come to the fore. State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma gave this information on Thursday. Sarma has suggested the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) to cancel the exam and conduct it again.

He said, “It has been brought to my notice that Luhit Khabalu, the center in-charge of the HS school arrested in the question paper leak case, has accepted during interrogation that the question paper of Assamese language subject was also leaked.” The CM tweeted, “In view of this, I have suggested SEBA to re-conduct the examination of Assamese language subject also.”
It is worth mentioning that the question paper of General Science subject of class 10th was also leaked on last Sunday, after which the examination to be held the next day (on Monday) was cancelled. Meanwhile, State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said that the examination for Assamese paper as well as other Modern Indian Language (MIL) subjects have been cancelled.
He tweeted, ‘SEBA has informed me that as per the advice of the Chief Minister’s Office, the examination of all MIL subjects including English of SSIL to be held on March 18 will be rescheduled. The new date will be announced tomorrow.
