new Delhi:

India has returned the Chinese soldier caught on the border in Ladakh to China. The Indian Army handed over the captured Chinese soldier to the People’s Liberation Army at Chushul Moldo border point at ten o’clock today. On the morning of 8 January, this soldier crossed the LAC south of Pengong Lake and entered the Indian border. Indian soldiers stationed there arrested this Chinese soldier. Action was taken under the prescribed procedure with the Chinese soldier. The situation in which the Chinese soldier crossed the LAC and entered the Indian border was also investigated.

On the other hand, after the Chinese soldier entered the Indian border, China said that his soldier had wandered into the darkness and entered the Indian territory. China had requested India to return its soldier. After which today, India handed over the Chinese soldier from the PLA.

This is the second case within a year when Chinese soldiers wandered into the Indian territory and later the Indian troops returned it to the Chinese army. Earlier, the Indian Army had arrested a PLA soldier in Chumar-Demchok area of East Ladakh in October last year. The Chinese soldier Wang or Long wandered across the Line of Actual Control and entered the Indian border. He was later handed over to China.

Let us tell you that the soldiers of India and China have been face to face since the first week of last May on the Line of Actual Control. The situation is very tense on the outskirts. This is the reason that there is a tremendous gathering of soldiers from both sides on the border even in the cold winter.
