China has sent a record 18 nuclear-capable bombers to Taiwan’s air defense zone. Taiwan gave this information on Tuesday. A day before this, Beijing had imposed further restrictions on imports from Taiwan, giving fresh indications of deteriorating defense relations. There is a constant threat of China’s invasion on democratic Taiwan. Since Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-Weng won the election in 2016, China has continuously put military, political and economic pressure on Taiwan. Tsai Ing Wen refuses to believe that Taiwan is part of China. On Tuesday morning, Taiwan’s Defense Minister said that in the last 24 hours, 21 aircraft entered Taiwan’s South-Western Air Defense Zone (ADIZ), 18 of which were nuclear-capable bombers.

According to AFP, since Taiwan started releasing daily airspace intrusion figures from September 2020, this is the largest number of H-6 bombers in a day since then.
China recently imposed fresh import restrictions on Taiwanese food, beverage, alcohol and fisheries products last week. After this, Taiwan’s Prime Minister Su Tseng-chang accused China of breaking international trade rules and “discriminating” against Taiwan.
The H-6 is China’s long-range bomber aircraft capable of carrying nuclear payloads. It is rare for China to send more than five H-6 bombers a day. But in the last few weeks, the number of their flights has increased dramatically.
So far only in October 2021, China had sent a record sixteen H-6 aircraft in a day.
Earlier, Taiwan’s unofficial ambassador Baoshuan Ger, referring to China’s aggressive stance in the region, said that India and Taiwan are threatened by “autocracy” and now the time has come that both sides (India and Taiwan) ” “Strategic Cooperation”.
