Naxalites were aware of the movement of security forces. Our boys fought bravely but we suffered. They also suffered heavy losses. Their civilian team was tracing us. In this attack, CRPF lost eight soldiers including seven commandos of the Cobra battalion and a jawan of Bastaria battalion. Eight personnel of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and six personnel of the Special Task Force (STF) were also killed on duty.
