Pakistani forces then opened fire on the forward posts along the Line of Control on Saturday (November 21) in violation of the ceasefire in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, to which Indian jawans gave a befitting reply. An army soldier was martyred in this incident. Officials have given this information. The name of the martyred soldier is Havildar Patil Sangram Shivaji. Patil was injured while replying to Pakistani actions but later died.
It is stated from the army, “Havildar Patil Sangram Shivaji was a brave, highly dedicated and honest soldier of duty. The nation will always be indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.” Patil was a resident of Nigaon in Kolhapur district in Maharashtra.
Officials said a halvadar was seriously injured and later died in the firing at around 1 am from across the border in Lam area of Nowshera sector. He said that the Indian Army gave a befitting reply to the firing done by Pakistan and firing continued from both sides for some time.
