The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the results of the 12th board on Monday afternoon. A total of 11 lakh 92 thousand 961 students were seated in the examination held between 15 February and 30 March. The rest of the examinations were then postponed and later canceled due to Corona. Out of them 10 lakh 59 thousand 80 have passed. Total pass percentage has been 88.78% which is 5.38% more than in 2019.

94.26% of foreign students passed

Apart from this, the pass percentage of students in CBSE schools abroad was 94.26% as compared to 95.43% last year. Also this year, there was a decline in the percentage of transgenders who appeared in the examination. Last year, where 83.33% of transgenders passed the exam. At the same time, this pass percentage was only 66.67% this year.

Girls ahead of 5.96%

At the same time, once again the girls outperformed the boys in the examination. In this result, girls were ahead of boys by 5.96%. The pass percentage of girls was 92.15 while that of boys was 86.19%. Girls have beaten boys for the 5th consecutive time in the results of 12th. At the same time, this time the girls were ahead for the sixth consecutive time. Sarthak Agarwal became the topper in the board examination with 99.6 percent for the last time in 2014. The girls are toppers for the 6th year in a row since.

70 days late result from last year

Last year the results came on May 2, but this year the corona is coming in July due to the lockdown. The examinations postponed due to Corona were to be held from July 1 to 15, but this time the board has not been able to conduct the rest of the examinations due to circumstances arising out of Corona lockdown. For this reason, the list of merit list and toppers is also not being released.
