The CBI will interrogate former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh and suspended police officer Sachin Vaze in connection with the preliminary inquiry into the alleged corruption case of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Officials said that on the orders of the Bombay High Court, the investigating agency initiated a preliminary inquiry into the allegations of bribery against Deshmukh. He told that a team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials has gone to Mumbai for investigation in the case.
