Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is going to reopen from 23 November 2020. BHU has formed committees for the implementation and monitoring of UGC guidelines or SOP issued by the government.
These committees will periodically assess the situation. Keeping in view the situation, it will be decided to reopen the departments of other streams. Students, teachers and employees who will not allow to enter the campus of the university.
The university will allow students in the final year of first-stage science PhD programs to visit their respective departments or laboratories for research work in the first phase. Keeping in view the situation, the reopening of other departments will be decided during the time.

“The university is going to reopen in a phased manner as per UGC guidelines from 23 November. In the first phase, the final year students of PhD programs of science streams will be allowed to visit their respective departments / laboratories for their research work. Core committees are being formed to read the information / implement and monitor the guidelines.
Each faculty will form a core committee during the reopening of the university and to develop an SOP for its effective implementation and monitoring. After the college opens, they will follow all the guidelines related to corona virus.
Earlier, Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education Department Monica Garg had given an order to the registrants of all universities in which she had asked higher educational institutions to resume classes in a phased manner.
