Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said that this curfew will remain in force till April 20. Apart from the capital city of Bengaluru, curfew will remain in force in Mysore, Mangalore, Kalburgi, Bidar, Tumakuru and Udupi-Manipal. During this time necessary services will be allowed.

According to the Union Health Ministry, in addition to Karnataka, new cases of coronavirus are continuing in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Kerala and Punjab. A record 1.26 lakh new cases of Corona were recorded on Thursday. There are 84.21 percent cases from these states.

There are 6570 cases of corona in Karnataka on Thursday, while 2393 patients have recovered from the epidemic during the last 24 hours. In Karnataka, 36 people died from corona. The total corona cases in the state have gone up to 10 lakh 40 thousand 130. While the total number of healthy patients has reached 9 lakh 73 thousand 949. While the total death toll has reached 12767. The total active cases of corona in Karnataka are 53,395.

Significantly, out of the total new cases of corona virus in Karnataka, close to 60 percent are coming out from Bengaluru alone. In Bengaluru, the rules have already been tightened regarding testing on those coming from other cities. In view of Corona’s growing havoc, the Bangalore Police on Wednesday banned the use of swimming pools, gyms, party halls and other such places.

In view of the rising havoc of Corona, night curfew has been announced in other states including Maharashtra, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Maharashtra is one of the most affected states of Corona.
