The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has started the formal process for the appointment of batting and fielding coaches, including head coach, for Team India. The BCCI has invited applications for several key positions in the Indian men’s team and the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The board gave this information by tweeting on Sunday.

BCCI has put many conditions
According to the advertisement of BCCI, the tenure of head coach and supporting staff will be for two years. The board has also laid many conditions for the applicants. According to the conditions – the applicant for head coach should have experience of at least 30 Tests or ODIs or he has coached the national team of a full member country of ICC for two years or he is in any associate team or IPL or other foreign league Or coached a first class team for 3 years. Apart from this, he should have obtained Level-3 Coaching Certificate from BCCI. Also the age of the applicant should be less than 60 years.

The last date to apply for the post of Head Coach will be 26 October 2021 till 5 PM.

There will also be conditions for supporting staff
BCCI has put many conditions for the supporting staff. The last date of application for the posts of batting, fielding and bowling has been kept till November 3, 5 pm. People applying for these posts should have experience of at least 10 Tests or 25 ODIs. Explain that the rest of the conditions will remain the same as have been kept for the role of head coach.

Dravid could be the next coach
After the T20 World Cup, the tenure of Ravi Shastri, R Sridhar (fielding coach), Bharat Arun (bowling coach) and Vikram Rathod (batting coach) will come to an end. If reports are to be believed, the name of Rahul Dravid is almost confirmed for the head coach. Dravid has given his nod for the post. According to the report, Dravid will take over from the New Zealand series after the T20 World Cup and will remain the head coach of the Indian team till the 2023 ODI World Cup. Dravid is currently the President of the NCA. During the IPL final on Friday night, a BCCI official told the Times of India – Rahul Dravid will become the head coach of the Indian team. He will soon resign from the post of NCA chief.
