Aditya Alva, the son of a former minister who had been dodging the police for four months in the Drugs Case, was finally arrested. The Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru (Bengaluru) arrested Aditya Alva on Monday night from a resort near Chennai. Aditya Alwa was absconding for the last four and a half months in the Kannada film industry drugs case. Confirming the arrest of Aditya, City Crime Branch chief Sandeep Patil said “On the basis of secret information, CCSB arrested Aditya from Chennai.”

The crime branch has made Aditya accused number 6 in the Sandalwood drugs case. He is accused that he used to give his farm house in Hebbal in the middle of the city for high profile parties. He used to attend parties himself. Another accused in the case, Veeran Khanna used to bring a customer.

In this case, 17 people have been accused by CCB. Aditya Alva had earlier pleaded in the Supreme Court to dismiss the FIR against him. After his plea was rejected, he also applied for anticipatory bail, but the court rejected that too. Despite this, Aditya Alva did not surrender, instead he continued to hide.

Aditya Alva is the son of former senior leader Jeevaraj Alva. Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is married to Aditya Alva’s sister.


In the Sandalwood drugs case, Crime Branch has arrested famous Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi, a government employee Ravi Shankar, actress Sanjana Galrani as well as some African origin citizens.

In August last year, the Narcotics Control Bureau raided an interstate drugs gang. Sandalwood drugs case came up when the arrests started from some other states including Goa and Karnataka.
