Yogi government set to develop Ayodhya airport as international airport


In the UP Budget 2021-22, it has been decided to rename Ayodhya Airport to Maryada Purushottam Shriram Airport. A provision of Rs 101 crore has been made in the budget.

Ayodhya Airport is set to be developed as an international airport. In August last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for construction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya. Since then, Ayodhya has gained attention in the country and the world in terms of religious tourism.

A budget of Rs 140 crore has been made for the all-round development of the city of Ayodhya, including the development of Suryakund in Ayodhya. 100 crore has been allocated for the development and beautification of tourism facilities in Ayodhya. In the budget, 300 crore rupees have been set for the construction of the access road to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya Dham. On the occasion of the completion of 100 years of the Chauri Chaura incident, it is proposed to spend Rs. 15 crore for the Chauri Chaura Shatabdi Festival.
