Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said on Saturday that India has remained steadfast in ensuring the rule of law and has a long history of resolving international disputes through arbitration and other similar methods. Addressing the Third Permanent Arbitration Court (PCA) -India seminar, Shringla said that PCA has dealt with many politically important and interesting cases since inception.
He said that it is a premier institution and the country has become the first choice for resolving international disputes involving the involvement of institutions, inter-governmental organizations as well as private institutions.
“As a member of the international community, India has been steadfast in ensuring the rule of law and has a long history of using arbitration and other such methods for amicable settlement of international disputes,” Shringla said. ”
