The Prime Minister appealed to the people to follow social distancing, cleanliness and restraint even in festive weather.
Final trial of a vaccine
Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Member (Health) of NITI Aayog, Principal Scientific Advisor, Senior Scientist, PMO and officials from other departments were also present in this meeting. He was told that out of the three leading vaccine programs in the country, two are in the second phase and the third phase of a vaccine trial is going on.
India working closely with neighboring countries
Indian scientific and research institutes are also working closely with neighboring countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The Prime Minister instructed the scientific community that this work of clinical trials and research should not be limited to neighboring countries only, but this cooperation should be spread all over the world.
Blue print of vaccine delivery placed
The National Expert Group associated with the vaccine program of Kovid-19 also put blue print of vaccine storage, distribution and management. The expert group is deliberating with the states as to who should be given priority after the preparation of the vaccine. Modi emphasized on the development of the vaccine as a means of rapid distribution throughout the country. For this, instructions were also given to repair cold storage chains, distribution networks, monitoring systems, equipment and evaluation systems.
