Arjun Mk-1A tank can carry 39 rounds of ammunition at one go

The Defense Acquisition Committee of the Ministry of Defense on Tuesday approved an agreement of Rs 8400 crore to purchase 118 Arjun Mk-1A tanks. Before the order is issued, the Cabinet Committee on Security will take a final decision in this regard, the date of this meeting is yet to be decided. When Arjun Tank joins the army within a period of three years of signing the agreement, it will gain the status of the world’s most advanced man battle tank (the most advanced main combat tank). These tanks have those features which according to the designers, will give it an ‘edge over everything operated by the Pakistan Army.
