East Godavari (Andhra Pradesh):
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple has reopened to the public on Monday in Antarvedi of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. On 6 September, devotees were stopped from entering the temple chariot after a fire. After which protests were held. Temple officials first announced that devotees would be allowed to visit from Monday and would be open from 6 to 7 am. According to COVID-19 guidelines, devotees were asked to visit the temple and maintain social distance. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had earlier ordered the Director General of Police (DGP) of the state to hand over the probe into the chariot fire at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Let me tell you that in the beginning of September 6, the chariot of the temple was set on fire, in which there was no news of any casualties.
