On Thursday evening, all systems at Mumbai airport’s Terminal-2 were restored after being down for 40 minutes. According to reports, the CITA system was down at the airport. All the work at the airport is done from CITA itself, from this the server of the airport runs. Air services were halted due to system crash. Due to this, the flights of many flights were also affected.
Airport staff worked on manual mode
Srikant Kishore, DIG, Central Industrial Security Force, confirmed the system was down. This led to queues of passengers for check-in. The airport staff had to work on manual mode when the airport system went down.
Air India tweeted and said – Work is being done to fix the system.
Air India also put out a tweet on the system down. Air India wrote that we can understand how much trouble the passengers are facing. Work is in progress to fix this. We will contact you soon regarding this.
