AIMIM chief Owaisi said in a social media post that he will field 100 candidates in the UP elections.
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has put an end to the alliance discussions with the BSP. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said in a social media post that his party will contest next year’s assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh along with Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Bharatiya Suheldev Samaj Party.
He also told that 100 candidates of AIMIM will be fielded in the election. Their list is also being prepared. Owaisi wrote, “The party has started the process of shortlisting the candidates and we have also released the candidate application form. We are with Om Prakash Rajbhar Sahab’s ‘Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha’, we have not had any talk with any other party regarding elections or alliance.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati had announced to contest the elections alone in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Sunday morning itself. However, the scope for alliance will remain intact in Punjab. The BSP supremo also denied reports that there could be an alliance between BSP and Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM in UP.
