A unique case of cancer has emerged from Texas, USA. Here 61-year-old April Boudreau got rid of lung cancer in just one day. Doctors identified the tumor in his lungs and removed it within a few hours. April has already defeated three different cancers.
Doctors operated immediately after investigation
According to the Daily Mail report, April went to the hospital for a routine checkup. A CT scan showed a lump in his right lung. After this the doctors did many tests related to cancer. It was revealed that April has early stage lung cancer.
Since April had already been put under anesthesia for the test, the doctors thought this was a good time to remove the tumour. He immediately operated on April with the help of a robotic device. They managed to remove the small tumor in surgery. After three days, April recovered and went home.
cured of cancer before it was detected
April told in conversation with Daily Mail – I could not believe that this is true. The treatment went smoothly without chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Actually, April was completely unconscious from examination to treatment. The surgery was done in just a few hours, so she had no idea she was suffering from lung cancer. Earlier, she had battled lymphoma cancer in 1984 and 1985 and breast cancer in 2002.
Robotic device eases surgery process
Surgeon Dr. Richard Wignes at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital said that with the help of the robotic device, April only had five incisions in the surgery. In this, the cancerous tissue was removed from the body. It is much simpler than the normal operation, in which large incisions are made. In such a situation, the patient also goes through the trauma of the operation for a long time. We are the first hospital in Texas to adopt the new technology.
