The dominance of Indians in American politics is increasing. Indian-American Mala Adiga has been appointed Jill Biden’s policy director. Jill Biden is the wife of the newly elected US President Joe Biden. Jill will take charge of the country’s first woman after Joe Biden is sworn in as president on January 20. The US Vice President Kamala Harris is also of Indian origin.
Mala belongs to former US President Barack Obama’s hometown of Illinais. He graduated from Grinnell College, Minisota School of Public Health, University of Chicago Law School. Adiga also worked as an advisor to the Associate Attorney General during the Obama administration. Biden and has already held the responsibility of Senior Policy Advisor and Jill Biden Senior Advisor on the campaign team of newly appointed Vice President Kamala Harris. Adiga was also the director of a branch of higher education and military families in the Biden Foundation.
Mala Adiga was working as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Academic Program in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs under the administration of former President Obama. Adiga has been the Chief of Staff in the Office of Global Issues for Women in the President’s Office. He held responsibility for human rights posts.
Adiga worked as a clerk in the federal government early in her career and was employed at a Chicago law firm before joining Barack Obama’s campaign in 2008. Biden has already announced the appointment of four members to his White House senior staff.
