A person has been arrested for allegedly setting an ambulance on fire in front of a police station in Ongole city in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday morning. This information was given by the police. Police said that the accused has a criminal record. The accused ransacked the Ongole Taluk police station and injured himself during this time. After which the ambulance with which he was to be taken to the hospital for treatment was set on fire.

Police said that the man set fire to the cotton held inside the ambulance. Also refused to come out saying that he wants to die. Police said he was forcibly evicted, but the ambulance was severely damaged due to the fire.
ASI Ramesh told news agency ANI, "The ambulance driver and technician who were in the ambulance at the time of the incident jumped to save themselves. The police later admitted the accused to the government hospital in Ongole." According to ANI, two cases have been registered against the accused for damaging the police station and setting the ambulance on fire.
