Delhi Nursery Admissions: The admission process for Nursery, KG and Class I to Delhi schools has started from 18 February 2021. At the same time, the Delhi government has decided to give relaxation in the age limit of the child by making changes in the nursery admission criterion. According to a circular issued by the Directorate of Education (DoE), schools in Delhi have been asked to give age relaxation up to 30 days at both minimum and maximum levels for admission to nursery, KG and class I.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a circular in this regard, saying that the age of the children who are admitted to nursery, KG and first grade will be given 30 days relaxation. Let us tell you, the Directorate of Education (DoE) calculates the age on the basis of 31 March. The Delhi Nursery admission process started from 18 February in private schools for the academic session 2021-22.

All parents seeking age relaxation in relation to their wards can contact the Principal / HoS of the concerned school for their consideration through a manual application. Explain, children from 3 to 4 years can get admission in nursery, children from 4 to 5 years in KG and children between 5 and 6 years can get admission in class 1.


Most of the schools have uploaded the Admission Criteria for Nursery, KG and Class I on their official website. The last date to fill the application form is 4 March, and the first admission list and waiting list will be released on 20 March. The second list will be released on 25 March and the subsequent list for admission, if any, will be released on 27 March.
