Three former Twitter executives have filed a lawsuit against the company. Among those who filed the lawsuit are Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parag Agarwal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ned Segal and Legal Affairs and Policy Chief Vijaya Gadde. All three were fired after Elon Musk bought Twitter in October last year.
Parag Aggarwal, Ned Segal and Vijaya Gadde have claimed through this lawsuit that the company owes them more than $ 1 million (about Rs 8.21 crore). On the other hand, the US Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating the Twitter deal. The commission is looking into whether Elon Musk followed the rules while buying Twitter shares.
Parag Agarwal became the CEO in November 2021
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey resigned from the post of CEO of Twitter on 29 November 2021, after which Parag Agarwal was made the CEO of the company. Prior to becoming the CEO, Parag was the Chief Technology Officer of Twitter. Agarwal’s salary as CEO was $1 million. As of now, in rupees it is close to Rs 8.21 crore.
Parag was the youngest CEO of top 500 companies
When 37-year-old Parag became the CEO of Twitter, he was the youngest CEO of the world’s top 500 companies. Parag Agarwal, who studied from IIT Bombay, is also a doctorate from Stanford University. In 2018, Twitter made him the Chief Technology Officer in place of Adam Messinger. Prior to Twitter, Parag has worked with Microsoft Research and Yahoo.
