In the last one week, 2 lakh people have been admitted to the hospital in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. He was having difficulty in breathing due to air pollution. In this tourist destination, people are troubled by the smoke coming out of industries, vehicles and bad crops burnt in the fields.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, 1.3 million people fell ill in three months due to the air show. Of these, 2 lakh people have been admitted to the hospital in the last one week. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has appealed people to wear N-95 masks. At the same time, children and women have been advised not to leave their homes.
Special care is being taken of children, strict restrictions can be imposed
The danger of air pollution is increasing so much that the Bangkok authorities had advised people to work from home since January. According to the news agency AFP, checkpoints have been made to monitor the smoke coming out of the vehicles.
At the same time, ‘no dust rooms’ have been made in nurseries and schools. Air purifiers have been installed in these. At present the schools have not been closed. Officials say the danger is not over. In the coming times, strict restrictions may have to be imposed to keep people in homes.
Particulate matter increased concern
According to the Ministry of Health, the amount of PM2.5 particles (very fine particles that cause pollution) in the air of Bangkok is very high. These particles mix in the blood, which increases the risk of diseases.
Particulate matter (PM) present in the air is no less than poison for human lungs. These are particles present in the air whose size is 2.5 micrometers or less. Due to these, premature death can also happen. According to WHO, PM 2.5 should not be more than 5 micrograms per cubic meter in the air, currently the amount of particulate matter in Thailand is low, but it is dangerous.
